Pella Architect Series Windows
This project was started after our family had lived in the house for the past 28 years. Both children (us) had long since moved out. My father and mother decided to begin a day care at home. They wanted to keep the house lively and to enjoy the company of so many different families living in the area. As the day care quickly became popular they needed to improve the condition of the house to safely accommodate more children and create an even warmer and sunlit space. Both my father and mother wanted more sunlight throughout the whole house. It was a renovation long overdue.
Our obstacles were trying to limit and schedule the construction around the fully operating day care. Unfortunately, as soon as the first elements of the existing house were demolished the project quickly grew in scope. So much of the house was in extremely poor and deteriorating condition. It was going to have to become a substantial renovation project. The roof substrate needed complete replacement. As the new Pella windows arrived on site for the addition, it became quickly clear that ALL the existing windows had absolutely none of the great features, quality and insulative properties of the new window units. It was then decided to replace all the existing windows. The scope of the project grew some more.
KC-Pella was extremely helpful in getting us the proper product for our design. Because of the quickly changing scope on this project, our office appreciated being able to get in touch quickly with a representative who is knowledgeable about the product line and can also place orders for the product. Finally, when the product was delivered, a field representative came on-site to ensure that proper installation and flashing techniques were followed.
The reaction to the project has been overwhelmingly positive. The project was written up in a local newspaper. All the parents and their children love the new daycare spaces. We frequently receive positive comments from the neighbors and passerbys. My family is very happy with the Pella windows. My father and I are both Architects, and have in the past worked with many different brands of windows. The Pella product is clearly a well crafted and solidly built window. We have recommended to many visitors to the house. It is evident that even though we have increased the amount of glazed areas in various spaces of the house, the ambient temperature is not betrayed by the window units.
Greller
Pella Designer Series Windows

Homeowners Dan and Amy Greller were overwhelmed with remodeling their home. All of their plans-the kitchen, the great room, and the added-on office-were underway.
While entering the remodeling process, Dan and Amy had the burden of finding a contractor to help them on their project. Rohde Builders was their knight in shining armor. They were more than flexible with the Grellers schedule. They’re also turning their ideas into the home that they are constructing currently.
The Grellers endured lighting complications in several of the rooms. This was resolved with a sky light that is equipped with remote controlled retractable shades. Then, to everyone’s surprise, the custom windows were delayed for delivery. Some windows were even damaged. But, the guarantee of Pella service was put into effect and the broken windows were replaced at no added cost to Dan and Amy. So, all of the problems that were faced were soon taken care of by Pella and Rohde Builder’s unparalleled service.
Pella brought in the Designer Series® windows with the unexpected benefit, to Dan and Amy, Blinds-Between-the-Glass, which were installed in all of the remodeled rooms. The great room was designed especially for three of the largest size of windows that Pella offers. Also a Designer Series sliding-glass door with a Rolscreen® was added for easy access to the backyard. The Designer Series windows are energy efficient, stylish and durable, just what Dan and Amy were looking for. They are a true staple in the Greller renovation.
While Rohde Builders and Pella, in essence, “promoted each other” said Jack Rohde, the Greller’s decided to install Pella windows throughout their home. They are very happy with their remodel this far and are looking forward to finishing it on schedule.

Pella Desinger Series Windows
After almost two years of interviewing many window sales representatives my wife & I agreed that Pella windows and doors were the ones we wanted. We decided on Pella because they offered a superior product and provided installation services through a local company named K.C. Company Inc.
Needless to say the Pella and KC relationship looked like a good fit to us and looking back we are happy to say we were right! The services provided by KC/Pella were seamless and the finished product is beautiful.
In addition to their installation services the KC sales rep, Mr. Jeffery Dodge, demonstrated a superior level of product knowledge and the skills to put this knowledge to work. Jeff has an overall “can-do” attitude and this made working with Pella and KC an even easier choice. Since we were replacing 80+ builders grade windows and two French doors our decision was not hastily made.
When we originally sat down to discuss this project with Pella we had some very high goals. Our builders grade windows allowed us to see, hear and feel the outside which was not so good… Our Pella windows not only allow us to see outside but they keep the noise, UV rays and outside weather outside and our utility bills are noticeably lower too. Great!
Simply said, these windows look and perform better than we ever could have imagined! Who would have imagined the difference Pella windows would make to our lives. We love our Pella windows and to us they are “Viewed to be the Best”

Ward
Pella Architect Series Windows
In the midst of remodeling their home in Potomac, architect of Anthony Wilder Design/Build, JP and interior designer Kelly Ward had decided to replace their extremely out dated windows and replace some doors with casement and awning windows.
The remodel process went smoothly with Mark Baker and the team from Anthony Wilder Design/Build. Pella provided Architect Series windows and Vivid View screens for the Wards that were installed by Certified Pella Contractor, Mark Baker. They are a custom color clad exterior to match the color of the home, as the standard Pella “morning sky gray” wasn’t an exact match.
The Architect Series windows are featured in the back of the home open to the pool area, the sides, and three in the front. The exterior of the home is surrounded by beautiful trees and plants that accent the contemporary feel of the house. “We’re very happy with our new windows and the work everyone has done here” said Kelly Ward. JP and Kelly are very pleased with the work Anthony Wilder Design/Build, Pella, sales specialist Greg Hardin, and the progress they have made.
The challenges that the Wards had to overcome were deciding on the type, color, and size of windows to purchase and where to put them. Choosing Pella wasn’t an issue due to business in the past between Anthony Wilder and Pella. The beautiful Architect Series windows hang in the Ward’s immaculate Potomac home. JP, Kelly, and their kids are happily settled in their stunningly renovated home.
Betaheron
Pella Designer Series Windows
Ken Betaharon, a man who knows what he wants, wanted a 19,000 square foot monster home. Vendors like Pella made his wish their command.
The home features immaculate windows in fascinating shapes such as trapezoid and triangles. These shaped windows are featured at the highest points on the walls throughout the home, simulating the effect of geometrical sky lights. Pella Designer® Series windows continued throughout the home.
The project struggled for some time due to changes in the design and because the windows were a one-of-a-kind order, they had to be re-designed from scratch. What Ken didn’t know was that the window measurements had been miscalculated and had to be re-ordered to replace the other windows. To top it all off, some windows didn’t fit the wall because the pitch of the roof was off.
But a conclusion was made; the order had to be made in stages because of the extreme scope of the overall project. He also had problems with the framing of the roof and the pitch of the roof. He then had issues with other trade companies and getting those orders in place at just the right time.
Finally as he saw his home coming together, there was a light at the end of this tunnel. To Ken’s surprise, he was able to have decorative panels in his windows provided by Pella! So, he has chosen the exclusive window fashions with decorative panels and snap-in between-the-glass blinds to complete of his beautiful Potomac home.
Ken was so satisfied with his new home; he hired Pella to provide windows for a few additional jobs. He also is having Pella replacement windows put in his second home.
